Ingredients

1 small onion, peeled and chopped
1 cup Marinara Sauce
1 clove garlic, peeled and chopped
Freshly ground pepper
2 tsp dried basil
1/4 pound string beans,
cut into 1/4 inch slices
1/2 cup broccoli florets, thinly sliced
1 medium tomato, cut into small wedges
3 ounces (dry weight) pasta
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp minced fresh parsley

Method

Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium sized pot and simmer slowly for 10 minutes covered. Steam string beans and broccoli for 3 to 4 minutes until bright green and still crisp. Drain. Cook spaghetti al dente, according to package directions. Do not overcook. Drain. Toss spaghetti with sauce mixture, beans, broccoli and tomato wedges. Top with parsley and Parmesan.
